2. Koenigsegg Regera (£1.4M)
Slated as the supercar of 2016 long before it even made its first appearance, the Koenigsegg Regera is as awesome as it is fun to try and spell correctly. Though it’s not a brand that has the kind of reputation, pedigree or popularity as its famed Italian counterparts, Koenigsegg nonetheless produces vehicles which in many ways wipe the floor with everything else out there.
In the case of the Koenigsegg Regera, hand over your $2 million and they’ll provide you with the mother and father of all hybrids. It has a 5-litre V8 along with a 4.5-kWh battery pack, which combine to deliver a total of 1,500BHP. Like the Lambo above, it’s a case of zero to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds, but the Regera takes things one step further by taking the title of the fastest zero to 186 mph time of any production car – just 10.9 seconds. Give it 20 seconds and it’ll hit its top speed of 248 mph, which is probably fast enough.
