10. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita (£3.3M)
Last but not least, if you’d been wondering what $5 million or so will stretch to in a ride these days, this is your answer. The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita with its catchy name and all is by far and wide the world’s most expensive production car that’s actually street legal. What’s with the cost? Simple really – they’ve gone and coated the damn thing with diamonds.
Pure showboating? Maybe a little, but they claim that its so-called Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave is basically like carbon fiber on steroids…in a good way. Which is all well and good, but what the hell happens when you scratch or dent the bodywork and haven’t got a spare $500,000 available for a touch-up? Oh wait…you spent $5 million on the car…piffle and pocket change in your books! 1,004BHP, looks to kill and the kudos that come with picking up a seriously rare and prestigious piece of kit. Almost justifies the price.
Almost…
