5 – Spend Less, Invest More
One of the main reasons why the rich stay rich is that rather than spending money, they invest money instead. Which in turn means that rather than their existing bank balances ever going down, the money is instead transferred into something that will actually make them money going forwards. Instead of buying a house, they invest in a property or apartment block that will generate significant revenues indefinitely. Instead of low-interest savings accounts, they invest in companies that are largely guaranteed to make them plenty of money long-term. To spend means to lose – to invest means to gain.
