House With a War-Proof Bunker – $2.1 million
The only problem with spending a lot of money on a house that can supposedly survive the apocalypse is that you’ve actually got no way of knowing whether or not it really can. Not only this, but if it doesn’t, it’s not as if you’re going to be able to ask for a refund either. Stil, when an old missile silo was bought up by Gregory Gibbons and Bruce Francisco, they figured they’d convert it into a luxury home and bunker with an estimated value of $18 million. When the time came to sell the thing however, they only managed to shift it on eBay for $2.1 million. Even without the war-proof properties, it was and is a seriously impressive home.
