Having realised that he’d gone and left one of his favourite hats in London while on tour, he decided the only thing to do was to have it flown to him in Italy…first class. Along with two taxi rides, full travel insurance and the tickets for the flight, it ended up costing him a mighty $1,700 to be reunited with his hat. Then again, sitting on a personal fortune in the region of $600 million, he could have quite easily chartered his own 747 to take care of the job for him, if he’d wanted to!
