4. Boeing 747-400 owned by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal – Price: $220 million
Heading into the realms of the ridiculous now, $220 million was paid for a spectacular Boeing 747 by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal of Soudi Arabia. Which would be impressive enough in its own right, though is compounded by the fact that this is actually the cheaper of his two planes. More of a toy than a pride and joy. Rather than using the 747 to carry 400 people in cattle-class from A to B, he had the entire plane gutted and redesigned in accordance with his every whim. The result is nothing less than a spectacular palace that also happens to have wings.
